Scholarships Computer Science International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a postdoctoral scientist to conduct research on how the integration of water management for the different landscape components (livestock, crops, trees, and human settlement patterns) can lead to benefits for livelihoods and environment in the Nile Basin, Ethiopia. Scholarships Computer Science Depending on the profile of successful candidates for this position will contribute to (i) develop a scenario for how the landscape may evolve and the implications for the productivity of water, health, ecosystems and livelihoods, (ii) to analyze the performance and impact of local learning networks and / or (iii) assess the impact of life and poverty widespread adoption of rainwater management strategies of different positive strategies to support the design. This research will be cross-discipline that involves aspects of livestock production, agronomy, soil science, water management and livelihood analysis. University Of Washington Scholarships Computer Science


The Scholarships Computer Science is provided to undergraduate students (juniors and seniors) who are interested in pursuing a career in education (elementary or secondary education). Eligible students are provided a year long scholarship of $ 1500 per quarter.

The Scholarships Computer Science students are required to participate in a year long seminar designed to introduce scholars to current trends and issues impacting education (nationally and locally). The seminar encourages students to thoughtfully reflection on their contribution to the teaching profession. Zesbaugh Scholars are required to work closely with a faculty mentor during the year on a research project. The Scholarships Computer Science project is presented at the spring research/leadership events (University of Washington Undergraduate Research Symposium or Carlson Center Spring Celebration). Students are allowed to present their research projects to their peers, mentors, and other invited guests during “in class” presentations arranged through the Zesbaugh Scholars Faculty Advisor.

Successful candidates will work on one of two related projects in the area of run-time configurable computing systems. The first project involves architectures and compiler support for the run-time customization of multi-processor systems. It further involves the development of innovative (re-) configurable architectures based on FPGA and course-grained fabrics. The second project relates to the application of reconfigurable systems to various problems in biomedical processing, network security, finance, bioinformatics, or computer-aided design.
The successful candidate must have a strong background in hardware and software design with exposure to one or more of the following areas: advanced digital hardware design, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), computer architecture, software engineering, real-time systems, numerical analysis, algorithm analysis, and convex optimization.
